EPW - Daniel Quare, London, verge fusee, 53mm, at least 18K gold consular case with shagreen bezel and back, KWKS, gold champleve dial signed "Quare" and "London," dial with stippled background and with winding aperture at 3, poker & beetle hands, verge escapement, gilt mvt with pierced and engraved foliate scrolled balance cock, pierced tulip pillars, s#2112, ca 1710 per consignor's notes. Gross weight of assembled watch 84.8 dwt (131.9 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: GRO, excellent mvt condition overall, good gilt color, some typical MFS and few mild small FS; excellent dial with only mild fine MFS; case shagreen with green coloration that looks to have been enhanced having some unevenness to its green hue, solder present inside case bezel, case shows light wear, no dents or dings; bow pivots freely and is tilted somewhat out of axis with case joint; domed glass crystal with some mild FS.
